Inspired by Fête de la Musique, the Paris-born celebration that first took to the streets in 1982 under the rallying cry “music everywhere and concerts nowhere,” FDLM NYC is bringing that same energy to Classon Playground in Brooklyn this Sunday, June 28. Brought to you by DJ Lei, this free daytime gathering brings together international DJs whose sounds move “across the Francophone world and its diasporas.”
At a time when third spaces are either disappearing or come with a price tag attached, FDLM NYC is a reminder that joy is meant to be shared and that the best kind of gatherings have always been free.
