POSTED BY NBTA:
“Nebta” means “plants” in Arabic. Located in the medina of Tangier, NBTA is a hybrid space combining a restaurant, guesthouse, and cultural center, created by artists Fayçal Lahrouchi and Kevin Le Dortz. Through culinary residencies, vegetarian Moroccan cuisine, and an experimental rooftop garden, NBTA explores plants and plant-based knowledge related to cuisine and the local area. The two chefs, Radia Sofi and Aïcha Konate, speak with Samia Benazzouz.
Samia, founder of Soum Soum Kitchen, is a chef and culinary designer, originally from Casablanca and based in Marseille for almost 7 years.
Her intuitive and dreamlike cuisine blends Mediterranean influences, seasonal produce and marine inspirations, in a plant-based, gourmet and iodized approach, with bold and spicy flavors.
This long-awaited collaboration will blossom in the form of two evenings, on September 2nd and 3rd at La Mûrisserie, where the public is invited to come and taste a vegetarian and herbaceous couscous, reimagined for modern tastes, in a gesture that unites their two creative culinary universes as well as their two shores.
