Need to Know
We close the growing season with Gentle Time Farm, a trans- and queer-owned cooperative growing culturally significant East Asian vegetables for Asian communities and the diaspora in New York. Our teams will cook together, building a menu from the farm’s final harvest alongside ingredients preserved and fermented throughout the season. A celebration of the crops, labor, knowledge and community behind it all. 50% of profits will be shared with Gentle Time Farm.
About
After a summer of collaborations with chefs, growers, makers and herbalists we admire, we move into fall with Gentle Time Farm, a trans- and queer-owned cooperative growing culturally significant East Asian vegetables for Asian communities and the diaspora in New York.
This dinner marks the close of their growing season and celebrates the months of planting, tending, harvesting and sharing behind it. Our culinary team will cook alongside chefs from Gentle Time, shaping a menu around their final harvest and ingredients preserved and fermented throughout the season. The evening reflects the farm’s larger commitment to food sovereignty, cultural continuity and community care, with much of its harvest distributed through mutual aid. It is a celebration of what is still growing, what has been saved, and the labor, knowledge and community behind it all.
Public Records will share 50% of profits from the dinner with Gentle Time Farm.
